Getting a Single-Entry Visa

If you don’t see your nationality on the list, that means you need to apply for a single-entry visa before departing for Mongolia.

Single-entry tourist visas range in price and will need to be approved before your departure date at one of the embassies or consulates of Mongolia abroad.

Getting a Visa on Arrival

Getting a Mongolian tourist visa on arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport is allowed for select citizens.

To be apply for a tourist visa on arrival, you must have the following documents with you:

  1. A completed visa application form.
  2. A recent passport-size picture with 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm dimensions.
  3. Proof of accommodation and sponsoring tourism agency.
  4. A return or onward flight.
  5. The fee for a tourist visa on arrival is 108,000 Mongolian Tugrik, or roughly $32 USD.

    A visa on arrival will only be approved for tourism or transit purposes. All other visas (business, student, work, family) need approved ahead of any trip to Mongolia.
