Until the end of 2025, passport holders from these 34 countries can now visit Mongolia visa-free for up to 30 days, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mongolia.

Hong Kong citizens can stay visa-free for up to 14 days.
Citizens from these 98 countries are now eligible to apply for an electronic visa to visit Mongolia before their departure.
To apply for an electric visa, you’ll have to provide your passport information, personal information, as well as details on the purpose and length of your visit. Eligible nationalities can apply for a tourism, transit, or sport or cultural event visa through this online application system.
Once you’ve applied for an electronic visa, it’s possible to check the status of your electronic visa acceptance/rejection online with your application ID.
If you don’t see your nationality on the list, that means you need to apply for a single-entry visa before departing for Mongolia.
Single-entry tourist visas range in price and will need to be approved before your departure date at one of the embassies or consulates of Mongolia abroad.
Getting a Mongolian tourist visa on arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport is allowed for select citizens.
To be apply for a tourist visa on arrival, you must have the following documents with you:
The fee for a tourist visa on arrival is 108,000 Mongolian Tugrik, or roughly $32 USD.
A visa on arrival will only be approved for tourism or transit purposes. All other visas (business, student, work, family) need approved ahead of any trip to Mongolia.
