The best places to get a massage in Ulaanbaatar with reasonable prices and great service.
Life in the Mongolian countryside is rough. The roads beat you up, horse riding activates muscles you never even knew you had, and living with the nomads tests your strength in ways you never knew it would.
So, why not treat yourself to a luxurious massage when you get back to Ulaanbaatar after days of traveling around the country. It’s my secret survival tip for recovering after any trip out to the countryside!
Plus, when you see the prices of massages in Ulaanbaatar and realize they’re a fraction of what you’ll pay in the US or Europe, you have no excuse but to go ahead and book that appointment.
Here are some of my personal favorite places to treat myself to a massage in Ulaanbaatar.

When it comes to massages in Ulaanbaatar, this is my personal favorite place. It’s where I’ve been going for years thanks to their consistent service and always satisfying massages. Their masseuses are top-notch and can deliver hard or soft massages, depending on your personal preference. A 90-minute Swedish massage is about $70 USD.

With 90 minute Thai Massages for 135,000 tugrik, which is roughly $38 USD, this place is a must-visit if you want to be boujee on a budget. They also offer foot reflexology, a Lotus signature massage, and a hot oil massage that is perfect for reinvigorating your skin after long days in Mongolia’s dry air.

Not only is Thann a great place for a massage, their products are also worth checking out. Stepping into their sanctuary is an instant stress reliever and their moody interiors will have you swooning over the entire experience here.

I’m not going to lie, their Deep Sleep Combo with a full body massage and foot massage for two hours is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself after a few days of hard travel. Priced at 210,000 tugrik, or roughly $59 USD, it’s a bargain for what you get.

🚕 Airport Transfer into the Ulaanbaatar City Center
Book your airport transfer before you land. Ulaanbaatar taxis are chaotic and this is worth the peace of mind.
🛌 Where to Stay
My picks at every budget, all within walking distance of Sukhbaatar Square:
→ Hostel One: best hostel in the city for solo travelers
→ Urgoo Hotel: locally owned boutique spot, great value and location
→ H9 Hotel Nine: steps from everything and great value (highly recommend!)
→ Best Western Premier Tuushin: 4-star hotel next to the square for a more comfortable stay and notable service (plus, a safe place to store luggage while you’re in the countryside)
👉 Make the Most of Your Time in the Capital
If you have extra days, these are the experiences I’d actually recommend:
→ Ulaanbaatar: Private Guided City Tour with Car
→ Cooking Class in a Local Home
→ Mongolian Traditional Dance & Music Concert Ticket
→ Chinggis Khaan Equestrian Statue & Terelj National Park
→ Ulaanbaatar: Private Nomad Horseback Ride + Homemade Lunch
