Before the festival, we’ll spend three nights living with a nomadic herding family, where we’ll sleep in gers, learn to ride semi-wild Mongolian horses, help with chores, and eat traditional food. The trip ends with a stop in Kharkhorin, the ancient capital.

This 3-day small-group training ($985, max 6 travelers per group) offers a rare chance to learn traditional Mongolian horseback archery from the masters featured on National Geographic’s Superskilled with Eva zu Beck.
Join us at the Archer’s Camp in the countryside outside Ulaanbaatar, where you’ll go from novice ground archer to shooting targets at a canter by the end of your training.
During the experience, we’ll eat, sleep, and live like Mongol warriors, with all equipment provided, meals cooked by a private chef, one-on-one instruction, and nights spent in shared gers under the open sky. No previous archery experience is required. Riding experience is required.

This 10-day small-group tour (September 19 – 28, 2027, $4,500, max 10 travelers) offers a rare way to live alongside a real Kazakh Eagle Hunter in the Altai Mountains of Western Mongolia.
Join us as we travel to the country’s farthest western corner to attend the Altantsugts Eagle Festival, a smaller, more local competition where only 40 of the best Eagle Hunters are invited to compete.
Before the festival, we’ll spend five nights living with our Eagle Hunter host, a 3x recognized Champion, and his family, where we’ll help train his Golden Eagle, ride out on a real hunt, learn traditional Kazakh embroidery, and try centuries-old games like Kokpar. The trip ends by cheering on our host as he competes for a championship title.
