It’s the perfect short Mongolia itinerary for travelers short on time.
Whether you’re visiting for work, or you’re just extending a layover, this trip is the perfect way to immerse in Mongolian culture.
During this trip you’ll meet some of the nomadic families we’ve come to work closely with throughout the years. We especially love working with them because they are honest, kind, and hard working. Working with them has been one of the greatest things about what we do.
By booking this trip, you’re not only helping to support these nomadic families, you’re also giving them a sense of pride. Pride in their culture, and more importantly, their work as a herder.
The Mongols are one of the last cultures to authentically live this way – this isn’t a show for tourists, this is how they spend their everyday lives. There’s nothing more special than bonding with them by living this way with them. This trip is rugged but comfortable. You should be prepared to disconnect from your devices and reconnect with nature. There will be no electricity and no running water available during your homestay. Drinking water will be provided from an 18.5 liter LifeSaver Water Purifier.
Book this trip anytime. This trip is possible in all seasons (spring, summer, fall, and winter). Just let us know what dates you’d like to travel and we’ll confirm our availability as quickly as possible.

My name is Aagie (short for Agarmaa) and I am a professional certified tour guide and the head of tours at Meanwhile in Mongolia.
Born into a second-generation city life, I rediscovered my roots through travel and guiding. After three years and 30+ tours across the country, I’ve connected deeply with my heritage, from the Gobi to Mongolia’s diverse ethnic groups like the Kazakhs.
Along the way, I’ve encountered snow leopards, hunted with eagles, and explored Mongolia’s vast landscapes. I’m proud to share the beauty and traditions of my country while continuing to learn from it every day.
I will do everything I can to guide you on your adventures with what I’ve learned so far, but there’s also a good chance we’ll discover new things together along the way.
